Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) has underscored its dedication to IP protection by holding a specialized workshop in Saudi Arabia, aimed at enhancing IP awareness and knowledge across various sectors in the Arab region.
The workshop, held on August 14, 2025, featured a comprehensive presentation by Mr. Amro Hattab, AGIP’s Internal Development Executive Director. Mr. Hattab highlighted the critical importance of respecting IP at governmental, public, and institutional levels. His presentation covered key topics including an introduction to IP, methods for protecting intellectual property rights within governments and institutions, and the advantages of collaboration between these entities to strengthen IP enforcement. The session also showcased successful case studies demonstrating the positive impact of effective IP management on local entities.
In addition to the Saudi Arabia event, AGIP continued its commitment to IP education with a second training session for Jordanian Customs officials on August 7, 2025. Held at the Jordanian Customs headquarters in Madona, this training addressed the challenges of combating illegal trade and protecting trademark rights. Customs officers were trained on recognizing and preventing the importation of goods bearing counterfeit or infringing marks, in line with applicable laws safeguarding intellectual property rights in Jordan.
AGIP remains committed to advancing IP awareness and enforcement across the Arab world, supporting sustainable development and encouraging respect for creators’ rights.
