Since its establishment, AGIP has encouraged the introduction of
intellectual property laws and an efficient IP system to the Arab world.
AGIP exerted its utmost
efforts in coordination and collaboration with, both regional and international
associations, to improve the infrastructure for intellectual property protection
in the Arab world.
This was manifested
through its assistance and continued support provided to governmental
committees and officials charged with revising and drafting new laws and
regulations for the enforcement of intellectual property rights in several Arab
countries such as Bahrain, Yemen, Oman, Tunisia and Afghanistan.
