The Egyptian Prime Minister has recently formed a special committee, chaired by the Chairman of the General Society for Investment & Free zone, for drafting the first Integrated Companies Law in Egypt.
The Committee has finalized the said draft for Companies Law, and submitted it to the Cabinet for endorsement. The Committee has perceived introducing a separate chapter for regulating one-man-company, which will be the first legislation of its kind in Egypt. This is in order to embrace all provisions regulating Companies & Facilities in one law.
The respective Committee also recognized the need for introducing a separate chapter for regulating labor unions holding shares in joint-stock companies and limited partnerships after it was restricted to Business Law No. 203 for 1991.
