Egyptian Patent Office Increases Official Fees – AGIP Will Not !

01-Sep-2003

The Egyptian Patent Office has dramatically increased its fees as of the 17th of August 2003. For instance, the annuity fees from the 5th annuity to the 20th for patent applications witnessed a significant increase. The fees for 20th annuity have increased from E.P. 150 to E.P. 1000. There were similar or even higher increases with respect to filing petitions and oppositions. The fees for filing a petition increased from E.P. 50 to E.P. 250. As of the 26th of August, the filing and examination fees for patents were also increased; the fees for filing a patent application have increased from E.P. 115 to E.P. 1650.

Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) assures all its clients that despite the above increase in the official fees, it will keep offering high quality services coupled with the same competitive charges. Due to AGIP progress and state-of-the-art and up-to-date technologies applied in daily work, the above increase will not be reflected on AGIP prices.
