AGIP Participates in the Business of IP Asia Forum 2024

HONG KONG – The Business of IP Asia Forum (BIP Asia) 2024 and Startup Day, co-organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, concluded successfully on December 6, 2024. The two-day event brought together over 160 IP experts and business leaders from around the globe to discuss the potential of intellectual property in fostering innovation and driving high-quality economic growth. These events played a crucial role in promoting Hong Kong’s position as a regional IP trading hub and an international center for innovation and technology.

Held simultaneously on December 5-6, the forum and Startup Day featured a dynamic program, including forums, exhibitions, competitions, workshops, and business matching sessions. The event attracted more than 400 exhibitors from various sectors, including IP and innovation technology, providing valuable insights into the latest trends in IP and tech innovation. The Asian Intellectual Property Business Forum welcomed over 3,000 participants, while the Startup Day recorded approximately 11,800 visits, facilitating over 230 business matching meetings and creating valuable opportunities for attendees.

Ms. Noor Shangwei, President of AGIP China, represented AGIP in this prestigious event. During her participation, Ms. Shangwei engaged in in-depth discussions with industry peers from across China, exchanging insights on global IP policy changes and practical issues in the IP field. The focus of these conversations was to create more collaboration opportunities and enhance the level of services provided to AGIP’s clients worldwide.
