AGIP Participates in the MARQUES Annual Conference 2022

MADRID – Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) represented by its Executive Director of the UAE office, Mr. Amjad Al-Husseini, and its Legal Business Development Manager, Ms. Francesca Gesuè, took part in the 26th MARQUES Annual Meeting held under the theme “Celebrating Marks: How sustainability and technology will shape the future of brands”, held in Madrid, Spain, from September 20th to 23rd, 2022.

This year's MARQUES Conference shed light on the impact of sustainability and new technologies, and their role in shaping the future of brands. The topics discussed included artificial intelligence and blockchain as well as digital dispute resolution, virtual and augmented reality and deep fakes, branding innovative products and enforcement of rights in the metaverse.

AGIP team highly commended the participation in the meeting that added to their knowledge and allowed them to meet with trademark administrators and practitioners to discuss their concerns related to trademarks.
