Iraqi Trademark Office Announces First Group of the Missing Trademark Files Damaged in the War

BAGHDAD – Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) would like to notify its clients that the Iraqi Trademark Office has published on June 7, 2010 a declaration in connection with the missing trademark files which were damaged during the war.
The declaration included a schedule of the first group of the missing trademark files, namely the files of the trademarks Nos. (1 -16090)

By virtue of the said declaration, owners of the mentioned trademarks should provide the Trademark Office through their trademark agents and legal attorneys with documents which prove that they are the legitimate owners of the same in order to preserve the legal protection of the said trademarks in Iraq.
The mentioned declaration also stated that the requested documents should be submitted to the Trademark Office within six months from the date of the publication of the same, otherwise, the registration of the said trademarks shall be considered cancelled.
Accordingly, our esteemed clients are kindly requested to provide our Agip Iraq Office via e-mail with the last certificate of registration and any other available documents of the trademark applications owned by the client and are included in the targeted numbers in order to rebuild its file at the trademark office.
