MANAMA - Pursuant to Ministerial Decision No. 40 of 2005 issued by the Bahraini Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr. Hassan Bin Abdulla Fakhro, official fees for trademark-related services have substantially increased in Bahrain.
The decision, issued on December 26, 2005, was published in the Official Gazette No. 2720 on January 4, 2006 and became effective on the same date.
According to an announcement by the Bahraini Trademark Office at the Ministry, new services related to trademarks have also been introduced in the Kingdom.
Such new services include: filing a certification mark application, filing a collective mark application, response to rejection of a mark application, obtaining a non-certified copy of any data, publication of an assignment/merger/license agreement, as well as request for verifying the official trademark records.
This increase will apply to new as well as to pending applications previously filed with the Bahraini Trademark Office.
Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) understands the impact of this considerable increase on its esteemed clients; that is why AGIP will keep its commitment by maintaining its professional charges without any increase.
