TRIPOLI - Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) would like to notify its clients that the requirements for filing trademark applications in Libya have been changed as of December 20, 2005.
According to a statement by the Registrar of Trademarks in the Libyan Ministry of Economy and Trade, a certified copy of the certificate of registration in the home country or any foreign country is sufficient for the registration of trademarks in Libya.
A legalized copy of the certificate of registration in the home country is no longer required.
AGIP also advises its clients that other requirements for filing trademark applications in Libya remain the same.
