The Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG) held its fourth meeting, June 14-17, with open consultations taking place on June 14 at the International Telecommunication Union headquarters (ITU) in Geneva.
"During the closed sessions from June 15-17 at the Château de Bossey in Céligny, Switzerland, the WGIG finalized its report which will be submitted shortly to the Secretary-General of the United Nations. After that, it will be presented to all stakeholders at a meeting in Geneva on July 18," said Mr. Charles Sha’ban, Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) regional office executive director.
Mr. Sha’ban, a WGIG member, pointed out that the WGIG report will be discussed at the third meeting of the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom-3), which will take place in Geneva September 2005, to be considered, after that, at the Tunis phase of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in November 2005.
