The Government of the Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya deposited on June 15, 2005, its instrument of accession to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), done in Washington on June 19, 1970, amended on September 28, 1979, modified on February 3, 1984, and on October 3, 2001.
The said treaty will enter into force, with respect to Libya, on September 15, 2005.
The PCT simplifies and reduces the cost of obtaining international patent protection and facilitates public access to a wealth of technical information relating to inventions.
