The Data Network and Internet Department at the Public Telecommunication Corporation in the Republic of Yemen announced the launching of the registration of domain names under country-code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) .ye as of February 22, 2005.
Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) was the first firm to register its domain name "agip.com.ye" in Yemen.
Registrations will be valid for one year from the registration date and are renewable upon expiry.
