Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI), in collaboration with the Press and Publications Department at the Ministry of Information in Bahrain has organized two workshops on Intellectual Property (IP) December 2004 in Bahrain.
“Copyright and Neighboring Rights” and “Technology and Copyright” were among a series of a five-month training course for the staff of the Ministry of Information that started last October with a workshop tackling the “Concept of Intellectual Property and its Development.”
Lecturers included Mr. Samer Pharaon, executive director of Abu-Ghazaleh Legal Services (ABLE), Riyadh office, and Mr. Maher Wahhab, legal consultant at ABLE, Bahrain office.
Meanwhile, two other workshops are scheduled to take place respectively February and March 2005, dealing with “Treaties and Conventions of Copyright”, and “Copyright Law of Bahrain.”
