The Palestinian Ministry of National Economy has recently completed the first phase of the computerization process for data and procedures available on its website http://www.mne.gov.ps/.
It is now possible to obtain information and different application forms electronically. Moreover, registering companies online is also applicable.
As of February 12, 2005, clients will be able to check registered companies electronically and reserve names for future companies.
As for industrial property, the Ministry is working on collecting all data related to industrial property in order to post it online. Once this step is completed, it would be possible to register trademarks, patents, industrial designs electronically in the West Bank.
