Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) India Office Manager, Khalid Al-Khalidi has recently participated in a seminar entitled "Journey from Trademark to Brand Equity" held at Le Meridian, Hotel, New Delhi, November 22-24, 2004.
Organized by the Institute of Intellectual Property Research & Practice (IIPRP), the seminar brought together trademark attorneys, brands consultants and legal professionals from all over the world to share experiences and develop a strategy to protect brand names.
"The seminar provided an outstanding educational and networking opportunity for those involved in the development and protection of trademarks and brands," Al-Khalidi stated.
Procedures and trademark practices at USPTO for protecting Indian brands in USA, passing off and infringement of IPRs, role of judiciary in protection of IPRs, counterfeiting and well-known and famous marks were some of the issues tackled in the seminar.
