MINC Secretariat has recently received recommendations from the Interoperability Testbed Selection Committee that it has completed its work on selecting a Testbed Operator. EP.net was recommended by the testbed selection committee and approved unanimously by the MINC board.
Bill Manning of EP.net commented “EP.net is pleased to be able to support MINC and their desire for a persistent testing facility, allowing MINC members to have an on-going, rigorous facility for evaluating IDN labels. The persistent testbed will allow registration and long-term use of IDN labels, providing a stable environment for application developers and users of IDN-capable services”.
This award will see the Testbed Operator setting up the MINC Interoperability Testbed within the next few months. Details of participation in this Testbed will follow soon after the MINC- endorsed JNA- sponsored IDNconnect run by another Internet IDN Luminary, Paul Hoffman of Internet Mail Consortium.
