A National Seminar on Intellectual Property was held at the headquarters of the Yemeni Ministry of Industry and Trade with the participation of Arab, local and international IP and law experts, July 10-13, 2004.
The four-day event, held in cooperation with World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and under the patronage of the Yemeni Prime Minister Abdul Qader Bajammal, was attended by Yemeni ministers, WIPO representatives, IP experts, government employees from the judicial, legislative and executive authorities.
The International Protection of Copyright and Neighboring Rights focusing on the Berne Convention, the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) Agreement and other WIPO- related agreements were some of the topics tackled through the course of the sessions.
