Symposium for Combating Commercial Fraud & Counterfeiting in GCC Countries
Under the patronage of HRH Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prince of the Riyadh Area, the “Third Symposium for Combating Commercial Fraud & Counterfeiting in GCC Countries” will be held September 20 - 21, 2004, at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI).
The symposium is organized by the RCCI, the General Secretariat of the GCC and the General Secretariat of the Union of GCC Chambers of Commerce.
The symposium aims at implementing the plans, measures and recommendations formulated to combat commercial fraud; spreading awareness of the effects of commercial fraud on consumers and national economy; and supporting the efforts of the organizations concerned with fighting commercial fraud & counterfeiting in the GCC countries.
Moreover, the symposium will also concentrate on exploring the latest mechanisms and techniques of fighting commercial fraud & counterfeiting and exchanging expertise and strengthening ties between the concerned organizations in GCC countries.
Relevant ministries, official organizations, chambers of commerce, universities, scientific research centers, and private sector companies will participate in the event.
First symposium for Combating Commercial Fraud & Counterfeiting in GCC Countries was held in Jeddah October 19-20, 1999, while the second symposium was held in Dubai October 16-17, 2001.
