Domain names registration has also become possible in Syria, for the Syrian Telecommunications Establishment (S.T.E.) has recently started accepting applications for domain name (DN) registration.
The term of protection is one year, renewable for similar periods upon payment of annuity. Failure to pay annuity within sixty days from the expiry date of the registration term shall lead to the cancellation of registration.
Being a recent service, DN registration regulations and procedures are still in the stage of formation; consequently, official fees are to be paid in a later stage.
AGIP shall be pleased to manage the registration process of your domain names in Syria.
The following requirements are needed for a proper rendering of this service:
Certified copy of the company’s registration in its home country (incorporation certificate).
Legalized Power of Attorney in favor of AGIP Office in Syria.
Also required is the following information:
- Name and address of the applicant company.
- Whether the DN desired is to be active for operation or only reserved.
- Primary and secondary name servers with corresponding IP addresses.
At this point, the charges of our services (official fees not included) shall be US$ 200.00 for registering a domain name and US$ 170.00 for renewing a domain name registration.
