AGIP Conducts an Orientation at Waljat College on IPRs On the occasion of IP Day

MUSCAT - Abu–Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) Muscat Office recently conducted an orientation on Intellectual Property Rights at Waljat College of Applied Sciences.
The orientation was conducted by AGIP adviser and expert on IPRs Mr. Khalid A. Battash, who tackled IP Laws and guidelines on IPR Policy, Ownership of Intellectual Property generated through Research / Consultancy, Objectives and importance of IP Rights in Oman, Procedures and processes to obtain the IP Rights in Oman, Statistics about number of TM, Patents & Designs in Oman.
Mr. Battash discussed the effective and fair system on how to manage the ownership of Intellectual Property generated through research and consultancy giving live examples on various cases being handled by AGIP.
The orientation was attended by more than 200 staff and students of WCAS and organized by Dr. G.P. Mishra, Professor In charge – Entrepreneurship Cell, WCAS.
