Trademark Applications
The registrar of trademarks in Iraq recently issued new regulations which changed the requirements for filing applications in class 34, specifically cigarette and tobacco trademarks.
According to the new regulations all applications being filed in this class should include:
1.A sample of the cigarette box.
2.A certified letter or extract from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in the applicant's country (legalized up to the Iraqi Consulate) confirming that the stated applicant is a manufacturer, and specifically produces tobacco related products.
3.A certified copy of the certificate of registration of the subject trademark in the country of the applicant.
