The new Registrar of Trademarks in Jordan is currently sending notices to the owners of expired registered trademarks, that is trademarks on the trademark register that have not been renewed. The Registrar's notice gives the owner one month in order to renew the mark; otherwise the mark will be removed from the register.
Once the trademark is canceled no further protection maybe gained from the lapsed mark, and it will be possible for any third party to file an application for the mark.
