AGIP Participates in IP Conferences in Russia

MOSCOW – Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) had a strong presence in two events on Intellectual Property (IP) organized by the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property (ROSPATENT) in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM), in celebration of the World Intellectual Property Day.

The first event was devoted to the 150th anniversary of the First Russian Design Law under the name: “Industrial Designs: Past, Present and Future”, and dealt directly with important issues related to the economic impact of industrial design and its role in innovation in addition to the role of WIPO in developing the international legal framework for the protection of Industrial Designs.

AGIP’s representative in Moscow, Mr. Vladimir Shebanov, attended the aforesaid Conference and exchanged views with IP agents on several aspects of the Industrial Designs and discussed mutual issues and future cooperation.

On the other hand, Mr. Shebanov took part in the Forum “Innovational Potential of Russia” which focused on the steps the government of Russia was taking to increase the importance and economic impact of Intellectual Property to the innovators and builders of the knowledge economy within the country.
