Arab IGF Thanks AGIP for its Efforts and Support to Multistakeholder Advisory Group

CAIRO - In appreciation and recognition for his service on the Multistakeholder Advisory Group of the Arab Internet Governance Forum (IGF), Mr. Charles Sha'ban, Executive Director of Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) received a thank you letter from Ms. Christine Arida, Secretariat of Arab Internet Governance Forum Multistakeholder Advisory Group (IGF MAG).

Mr. Sha'ban said:" We, at AGIP, are really proud to be members of Multistakeholder Advisory Group of IGF. The meetings set a good example of working together with all stakeholders, governments, international organizations, private sector and civil society in an open spirit and in a constructive manner taking into consideration the concerns of all parties.”

AGIP was selected to join the first Arab IGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group (AMAG) according to the Secretariat’s criteria mainly for having appropriate experience in the field of Internet governance and related public policy, good knowledge of the outputs of the World Summit on the Information Society Geneva 2003 and Tunis 2005, knowledge and experience of the global IGF process mechanisms.
