The major aim of the new law in Slovenia is to bring the current national legislation up to the standard of the legislation in other European countries.
The new law includes a number of provisions that were formerly incorporated in the regulations. However, there are also several provisions, which will become effective at the time Slovenia becomes a member state of the European Patent Convention.
