The Economic Affairs Directorate (EAD) at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in Qatar is currently discussing Unfair Competition and Anti-monopoly draft laws, mohamoon.net reported.
Theses laws aim at enabling the private sector to properly perform its role in the economic development.
The Directorate is also discussing any obstacles that hinder the entry of the Qatari goods to the foreign markets.
Mr. Saoud Al-Jufairi, head of the EAD, stated that concerning the economic performance “ the directorate is in the process of publishing a new book that contains the general economic indicators during 1993- 2002. The book includes analytical indicators for the economic industries mainly oil, services, insurance, foreign trade and agriculture sectors
