The Iraqi Trademark Office has increased the official fees as of December 29, 2003 at an average of 80%. However, Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) assures all its clients that the aforesaid increase has only affected its charges applicable to two services:
- Charges for recording a license agreement in respect of a trademark have been increased by 10%. AGIP charges are now US$ 500 instead of US$ 450.
- Charges for issuing the certificate of registration of a trademark have been increased by 20%. AGIP charges are now US$ 200 instead of US$ 165.
As AGIP always endeavors to provide its clients with the most competitive IP charges, it ensures that no further increases in charges will occur as a result of the present increase of the official fees.
