Government Urged to Set up New Laws for SMEs in UAE

01-Feb-2004

Representatives of small and medium size businesses in Dubai are urging the government to introduce special legislation, including specific laws, methods, rules, standards and procedures for developing and supporting small and medium business projects, Zawya.com reported.

The new legislation should benefit from the similar rules and regulations existing in other countries.

Representatives also say that some kind of an association, involving both the various government bodies and private organizations, should be also established to provide financial support to such enterprises.

It could help small and medium size businesses get collective exports contracts and participate in exhibitions held both in the UAE and outside the country to promote their projects and products.
