Mr. Mahmoud Lattouf, took part in these meetings, which were attended by IP experts from the Middle East, Europe, and the Far East.
Several issues were addressed by the participants including the implementation of IPv6, the Internationalization of Domain Names, and an introduction to RIPE NCC and its services.
The RIPE Network Coordination Center (RIPE NCC) is one of four Regional Internet Registries (RIR) that exists in the world today, providing allocation and registration services that support the operation of the Internet globally. The services provided by the RIPE NCC ensure the fair distribution of global Internet resources in the RIPE NCC service region required for the stable and reliable operation of the Internet. This includes the allocation of Internet (IP) address space, autonomous system numbers and the management of reverse domain name space.
