The Shura Council is currently discussing a new Patent Draft Code after the Committee of Educational Affairs and Scientific Research has completed its examination.
The new Draft Code includes 61 Articles, providing full protection for patents of invention, layout designs of integrated circuits and industrial designs or models inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The long awaited Code contributes to developing individual and institutional research, which plays a vital role in elevating Saudi industry.
