Executive Director of AGIP's Regional Office Appointed to INTA's Subcommittee

The International Trademark Association (INTA) has recently selected Mr. Charles
Shaban, Executive Director of the Regional Office at Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual
Property (AGIP), to its Registration Practice & DNS Administration Subcommittee
for 2004-2005.
The Subcommittee falls under the umbrella of INTA's Internet Committee, which
is dedicated to evaluating treaties, laws, regulations and procedures relating to
domain name assignment, use of trademarks on the Internet, and unfair
competition on the Internet. Furthermore, the committee develops and
advocates policies to advance the protection of trademarks on the Internet.
Mr. Shaban was one of the selected amongst 2,300 volunteers who applied to
serve on INTA committees, and his appointment represents yet another
testimony to the caliber of AGIP's executives and the recognition they enjoy
internationally.
