Turkey Increases Official IP Related Fees
10-Mar-2013 ANKARA – Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) would like to inform its clients that the Turkish Patent Institute increased the official fees relating to patents, designs and trademarks as of January 1, 2013. However, AGIP will maintain its charges for filing trademark applications, as for charges for filing industrial design and patent applications, they have been increased.
The new official fees apply to both new and pending trademarks, patents and designs applications.
The increase in official fees will affect the following services:
- Trademark filing; renewal; registration; recordal of license, assignment and merger of trademarks,
- Patent filing; grant; recordal of license, assignment and merger of patents
- Patent annuity payments,
- Utility model filing; grant; recordal of license, assignment and merger of utility models,
- Utility model annuity payments,
- Industrial design filing: renewal; recordal of license, assignment and merger for industrial designs.
