Pakistan is currently exerting enormous efforts to improve its intellectual property system and thus remove its name from the United States Trade Representative's 301 Special Watch List in 2003. Recent developments include the decision of Pakistan's government of forming the Pakistan Intellectual Property Rights Organization (PIPRO). PIPRO is charged by the Cabinet with protecting intellectual property rights in Pakistan.
Legal protection of trademarks is available in Pakistan, however the problem is that counterfeiting and piracy are quite common. AGIP supports all anti-counterfeiting organizations, and defend our clients' rights against unlawful practices. Our experienced researchers and litigators can help you to defend your rights.
