The Global Name Registry (GNR), the registry responsible for the .name extension in cyberspace has introduced a new service for the Defensive Registration of domain names under that extension.
This service allows registrars to register any domain name under the .name extension without having prior authorization from trademark owners.
Registrations are made on a first-come first-served basis by GNR. TAGIdomains advises its clients to consider registering their own famous names under the .name extension.
