Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) has been exerting continuous efforts, in coordination and collaboration with, both regional and international associations to improve the infrastructure for intellectual property protection in the Arab World.
AGIP has helped several Arab Countries revise, modernize and translate their existing IP Laws to match the international standards and specifications.
Based on an attempt to re-build and upgrade the Federation in order to keep pace with other federations in the rest of the Arab countries, Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) has been assigned by the Iraqi Federation of Industries to update and modernize Trademark Laws and Regulations in Iraq. This was incorporated in the Federation’s decision No. 1339 that was issued on 20/9/2003.
The Federation also sought assistance from AGIP to provide suggestions and recommendations on how to develop and upgrade the system of filing applications, granting certificates and renewal certificates (paper forms) in order for the Federation to issue high quality certificates.
