Under the patronage of HRH Prince HASAN Bin Talal, the Ministry of Industry & Trade and the Embassy of Sweden in co-operation with the EU Commission Delegation and EU Embassies in the Hashemite Kingdome of Jordan have organized a seminar and workshop on the issue of intellectual property rights. The seminar was held at the Radisson-SAS Hotel on May 30-31, 2001. The following subjects were covered in the seminar:
1. Trademarks: infringement, well-known marks and registration system.
2. Copyrights: media, broadcasting, film making and fair use.
3. Patents: conditions for patentability.
It is worth mentioning that a number of distinguished and well-known speakers participated in the seminar such as:
– Dr. Heinz Goddar, European Patent & Trademarks Attorney, Boehmert & Boehmert, Forrester & Boehmert.
– Professor Theo Hassler, University of Strasbourg, Director of the European Center of Intellectual Property.
