Warning Against Deceptive Requests for Payment

AMMAN – Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) would like to notify its clients especially PCT applicants and agents who received unsolicited official invitations to pay fees for a particular service, that these alleged invitations are send by companies that are not linked to the International Bureau of WIPO or any government or community institution. Therefore, there is no obligation to pay the fees.
These invitations frequently contain details such as publication date, title on invention, international application number and IPC symbols.
In case you receive such a letter or invoice, please check carefully to see exactly what services you are being offered and whether it comes from an official source, it would be prudent to contact us at the following address:
