Iraq is Still Alive
Dar Al-Salam Newspaper in its volume No. (10) dated 17th of July published an article which discussed and examined the latest conditions of Industrial Property Office in Iraq. The article covered much valuable ground tackling significant issues surrounding patents of invention in Iraq. The article elaborated on the Industrial Property Office in Iraq and the significant role it plays in protecting creations and innovations.
The article stated that the Offices have resumed its activities by accepting several applications. Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) was the first firm to file patent applications through Advocate Mr. Zeid Al-Khatab, the Attorney-at-law of AGIP in Iraq. It is worth noting that several patent applications were filed by various parties in Iraq.
Despite the challenging circumstances, Iraq is exerting its utmost efforts to enforce and protect intellectual property rights and promote creation and awareness of IP rights.
