The Trademark registrar in Oman has recently made a great effort to speed up examination of trademark applications filed in Oman over the past few years.
This move to enhance intellectual property has been greatly felt in the Sultanate during the last 3 months when over 2000 trademark applications were examined.
The speed up of the examination process will help reduce the time frame for the registration of trademarks which, prior to the last 3 months, was in the range of 5 to 7 years. Continuous follow-up from our AGIP office in Oman will insure that clients are advised of the examination and acceptance as soon as our office receives the relevant notices.
