Dr kamil Idris Re-appointed as WIPO Director General

Between May 26th-27th of 2003, and during the extraordinary General Assembly session of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Dr. Kamil Idris was formally and unanimously re-appointed to a second term as Director General of WIPO on Tuesday 27th of May, 2003.
Member states confirmed a recommendation by the Organization’s Coordination Committee to offer Dr. Idris, an Arab national of Sudanese origins, a second six-year mandate. The mandate will begin on December 1st of 2003.
