AGIP Sets Official Fees for IP Services in Bahrain
01-Jul-2003
Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) has been exerting continuous efforts, in coordination and collaboration with, both regional and international associations to improve the infrastructure for intellectual property protection in the Arab World.
AGIP has helped several Arab Countries revise, modernize and translate their existing IP Laws to match the international standards and specifications.
Recently, AGIP has assisted the Ministry of Commerce in Bahrain in preparing the implementing regulations for all its new IP Laws to be issued soon.
During his visit to Bahrain, Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh emphasized to the Minister of Commerce the significance of revising the current pricing policies of IP services to correspond with the requirements of the new laws. Consequently, AGIP was charged with conducting a comprehensive study to set the official fees to be applied for all IP services.
The Study will be conducted in September 2003 through a professional team of financial and IP consultants. The study will entail conducting a comparative survey with different countries on both regional and international levels. The survey will be followed by a thorough financial analysis in order to recommend the most convenient pricing strategy.
AGIP endeavors to maintain its unwavering commitment in providing Arab countries and the IP community with high quality services.
