Lebanon Update: Suspension of IP Office Operations
13-Aug-2020
BEIRUT – The devastating explosion in Beirut's port has left much of the National Office for the Protection of Intellectual Property destroyed, impacting the services provided by the Office.
The Office announced that it will not receive new applications, and will remain closed to the public until further notice.
In this regard, we assure our clients that our office in Lebanon is still operational and receives clients’ communications, instructions, applications to guarantee immediate filing and response in due time.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and advise our clients immediately once we are informed of any change.
Furthermore, we will offer our services for the reconstruction of Beirut IP office both physically and data-wise because we have in our database all that is needed for them to operate. We have done similarly after the Lebanese civil war in 1991.
