Saudi Arabia Increases VAT Rate to 15%

RIYADH - Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) would like to bring your kind attention towards the increase of VAT rate in Saudi Arabia from 5% to 15% effective July 1, 2020.
As a result of this new regulation, professional charges of all Intellectual Property related transactions and services in Saudi Arabia will be subject to the new VAT rate.
We invite our clients to provide their filing, renewal and any other payment related instructions before July 1, 2020 to avoid, as much as possible, such additional fees of VAT on payments in 2020.
