Fake Face Masks: A Factory Shut Down in Jordan

ZARQA – The Public Security Directorate of Jordan announced that it has conducted a raid on a factory in Zarqa city where counterfeit masks were being made and sold. The unlicensed factory was closed, 248 fake masks labelled with well-known trademarks were seized and the accused persons were arrested. 

The Directorate stated that this illegal activity was discovered during inspections conducted by a team from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and Food and Drug Administration.

The Directorate called on the people to be wary and buy face masks from pharmacies to ensure they meet the prescribed health and protection standards.
