Cyprus Issues New Domain Name Regulations
17-Dec-2019 NICOSIA - Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) would like to draw the attention of its clients that the .cy Registry has issued new regulations concerning registration and renewal of top-level domain name extension .cy.
According to the new regulations, it is not necessary to be a permanent citizen of Cyprus to register .com.cy and .cy domain names, due to the fact that local presence is not mandatory anymore for registering .cy domains.
Additionally, the .cy domains can now be registered or renewed for either 1, 2, 5 or 10 years.
Based on the new regulations, AGIP has updated its charges as follows:

Registration of Domain Name for 1 year when registration is sought in January, February, March, April, May or June 70.00
Registration of Domain Name for 1 year when registration is sought in July, August, September, October or November 60.00
Registration of Domain Name for 2 years 90.00
Registration of Domain Name for 5 years 175.00
Registration of Domain Name for 10 years 350.00
Renewals
Renewal of Domain Name for 1 year 35.00
Renewal of Domain Name for 2 years 50.00
Renewal of Domain Name for 5 years 80.00
Renewal of Domain Name for 10 years 150.00
