Palestinian National Internet Naming Authority Registers Single-letter Domain Name from 06/01/2020

Gaza – Palestine – The Palestinian National Internet Naming Authority (PNINA) said it would open registration of single-letter domain names within the Top-Level-Domain (PS) and the Top-Level-Domain in Palestine from 6th January.


In its letter to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG – Global), the Authority expressed its pride of the continuous cooperation with Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP).


The Authority highlighted the key conditions and procedures for the registration of distinguished single-letter domain name including:


1-   The charges of registration and renewal of single-letter domain names within the Top-Level-Domain (PS) and the Top-Level-Domain (Palestine) will be set on the selection of the distinguished domain code.

2-   Any Palestinian or non-Palestinian person or entity may register a single-letter domain name for personal, commercial or corporate purposes.

3-   Registration eligibility shall be on first come, first served basis from Monday 06 January 2020 at 10:00 AM Jerusalem time.

4-   Registration of single-letter domain name does not require the submission of any certificate of registration of the company, trademark, intellectual property or any other requirements.

5-   There is no change in the registration procedures or discount on the published charges of the single-letter domain names in case the registrant / customers owns a certificate or proof of registration of the company, trademark or intellectual property.

6-   In case the registration is made available in respect of any new single-letter domain name in the future other than the known letters (Arabic or Latin characters), the same conditions of this notice shall apply.

7-   The single-letter names in the subdomains net.ps -.com.ps -.org.ps are not distinguished and shall be subject to the registration procedures of ordinary domains.

8-   The registration policies of the Palestinian domain and the dispute settlement mechanisms depending on single-letter domain names shall apply.


The procedures of registration of single-letter domain name are similar to those of registration of two-letter or three-letter domain names in the following steps:

1-   Verification of whether or not the domain name is available through WHOIS service or through the registration website.

2-   Providing us with domain name to be registered, the duration, DNS servers and the owner’s information.
