Iran: IIPO Begins the Implementation of 2009 Policy

TEHRAN – Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) would like to inform its clients that the Iranian Intellectual Property Office (IIPO) implements now the new policy of 2009 regarding filing trademarks.

Trademark section of the IIPO is requesting all foreign applicants to provide a document indicating that the company exists in the home country; the said document should be certified and legalized by the Iranian consulate.

The required information are as follows:
1- Full name
2- Address
3- Phone
4- Fax
5- E-mail
6- Type of company
7- Nationality
8- Line of professional activity
9- Company registration number
10- Date
11- Place

However, the applicant will be required to submit certified and legalized copy of Company registration number within two months from filing the application to the Trademark Office.
