The Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran has ratified the law of adherence of the Islamic Republic to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Endorsed during the open session of the Assembly on September 26, 2001, the law involves a set of obligations ensuring the protection and application of Intellectual Property Rights in the Islamic Republic, allowing Iran to join the WIPO.
