RIYADH - A Royal Decree has been issued on December 14, 2009 endorsing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s membership to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), a press release by Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) stated.
The Saudi Council of Ministers approved the Kingdom’s membership to the Treaty, done in Washington on June 8, 1970, amended on September 28, 1979, modified on February 3, 1984, and on October 3, 2001, and its Implementing Regulations.
The Council’s approval was based on the Shura Council’s decision No. 42/30 dated June 8, 2009.
