As an IP practitioner with Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP), Ms. Diala N. Al-Alami represented AGIP as a guest lecturer for the John Marshall Law School's course on International Trademark Law in Northern Africa and the Middle East with a focus mainly on the Arab countries.
The course, which was held prior to the INTA Washington DC annual meeting last month, mainly focused on the means of protecting trademarks internationally. Ms. Al-Alami who specifically focused on the protection of trademarks in the Arab Countries is known for her vast information on the IP system in the region. AGIP participated for the second year successively since Mr. Mohammad Doofesh had represented AGIP last year in San Francisco.
On the other hand, the annual survey of Emerging Markets, conducted by Managing Intellectual Property in association with register.com showed that AGIP was “voted the number one firm” for patent work and trademark work in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. The output of the survey reflects the high profile with which AGIP has been presenting its services in the competitive world of intellectual property.
